Designing Digital Workflow Systems for Institutional Operations

Overview

During my internship at ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India), I contributed to the development of “VYOM Instrumitra”, an internal Instrument Management System designed to transform manual form-based processes into a structured digital workflow. My work focused on system interface design, usability optimization, and supporting backend workflows to enable efficient management of institutional resources.

Key Contributions

  • • Contributed to the design and early development of the “VYOM Instrumitra” Instrument Management System, digitizing manual operational workflows within the organization.
  • • Supported development of backend-driven workflow featuresincluding instrument requests, approvals, assignments, returns, and inventory tracking.
  • • Helped structure role-based system interactionsfor Requester, Issuer, and Super Admin to streamline operational management.
  • • Assisted in implementing automated SMTP-based email notification workflowsto communicate critical actions across the system.
  • • Collaborated with engineering teams to ensure visual interfaces, backend logic, and system functionality aligned with project requirements.
